Cuba, Libya, and North Korea are three countries operated through dictatorshp. Though in some cases there is a semblance of open election, by suppression of ballot counting or violent intimidation, sham elections are achieved by nepotistic or religiously-driven device. By this measure, certain Middle East nations fit this definition.
