What are some clever ideas for invitations to a luau?

I want to mail invitations, not use e-vites.

You can make your invitations on die-cut banana leaf shaped papers or hibiscus shaped papers. If you want to be funny, you can hide your message under a coconut bra!

Get hula-girl stickers from the craft store and some scrap book paper with tropical scenes. Glue on small umbrellas. Or use postcards from Hawaii.

You could include sand or small seashells in the envelope, but be careful, because they can make a mess when someone opens the envelope! Flat silk flowers would work too.

You can hand-make invitations with grass (as if from hula skirt) or mini-leis; you can also buy blank cards and print pictures of Hawaiian beach scenes or beautiful flowers. There are also cards that you can record sounds into (ie luan music). Can use a "play on words," pic of limbo dance that says, How Luau can you go?

You have 50 words left!
