For encouragement,the NIV Bible reads; 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' – Jeremiah 29:11 'Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.' - Hebrews 11:1

One of my favorite encouraging verses is Psalms 55:22: "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." I also like John 16:33, Isaiah 26:3 and Isaiah 46:4. Psalm 23 is sort of the obvious encouraging one, too.
