braids are the most african of them all or dread locks. it takes years to acieve them though. Braids are fast.

Usually some form of a braid or a corn row is what they most generally have done with their hair. You can go to a salon and ask they will be able to tell you right away.

I have known 360 waves which is a pretty decent looking hair cut. This style obtained it's name for the natural pattern of tight waves and ridges that form a 360 pattern. The style is usually specific to African American hair textures that tend to be tightly coiled.
