During the monthly cycle, in which ovulation occurs, the progesterone levels are usually about 15-30 mg/day. During the first few weeks of pregnancy the levels usually double or triple and is produced everyday during pregnancy. A normal progesterone level in the first month can range anywhere between 9 and 47 ng/ml. A lot of the time a woman will have a level closer to 10 ng/ml during he first few weeks of her pregnancy. The level of progesterone will increase as the pregnancy progresses and the woman's doctor will usually have the level tested.
