Really any paint trim is a good color. Try to find a color to match the trim like curtains or an area rug that is in the kitchen. You could also paint the trim to match some china dishes for a focal point.

Paint colors depend primarily upon personal taste and preference - whether a harmonious or dramatic look is desired in your finished project. Determine what other accent colors are present in the room and try to pull from those. But in general, greens goes well with natural wood tones.

Pine cabinets are known to be a very light yellow color. If your cabinets are clear coated the true color of the cabinet will be enhanced. Paint trip colors that go with light yellow are whites or a dark red. It would also look good if no trim color was used.
