Bullnose corners are sharp corners that have been rounded-over either for aesthetics, safety, or durability. Sharp edges on soft or frequenty used surfaces, such as a butcher-block countertop or drywall, are easily damaged; sharp edges on hard objects, such as a granite countertop or metal coffee table, could cause injury -- all of these objects benefit from being bullnosed.

Bullnose corners are the edge of the countertop in the kitchen that are rounded down. It is easier to clean the countertops and a square corner is harder when you bang your hip, elbow, head, or any other sensitive body part on it.
