What animal is the top of the food chain?

Technically humans are not the top of the FOOD CHAIN. Food chain deals with food not intelligence.I would say for the ocean- killer whale and land -a lion. But either way it would be homosapiens not humans.

If you are talking about wildlife, then the king of the jungle, the lion, would have to be the , most dominant of all the animals.

Since technically humans are animals, then human beings are at the top of the food chain. Even though we have no natural prey like other top predators such as a lion for example, we have the superior intelligence and vast amount of resources at are disposal to survive.

Humans are the top of the food chain as we may kill and eat any animal or plant we wish. There is nothing that naturally preys on humans.

The human race is at the top of the food chain, in my opinion. We as humans tend to eat anything when it is nessecary.
