Yes we love our furniture and so do our cats unfortunately, however before declawing your cat ask yourself which you love more, your cat or your furniture. Cats were designed with claws for a reason and can not function as designed without them, There are alternatives such as training and scratching poles that are better solutions.

I do not think that your cat should be declawed. It's not a natural thing, first of all, for a cat to be declawed. They have claws for a reason and taking them away would be equivalent to amputating the fingers of a human.

Yes, this is a good idea. Yoru cat won't hurt others and won't destroy your sofa, sheets or other valuable furniture.

Declawing is considered inhumane by many. The last bone of the claw is amputated. It's a painful surgery and the recovery period islong.
