State that you "took course work toward degree in `list degree type' with minor in `if any', with grade point average of `give number'". Only give a GPA if it is good.

The way I have it on my resume is e. g. (JOHN JAY COLLEGE Police Science (Completed 15 credits). This will show the interviewer what school you went to. What your major is and how many credits you completed.

In the education section of your resume, you can list the number of credits you have completed at that college. This is preferable if you are not currently still enrolled. If you are still enrolled, you can put an expected completion date for your degree.

Say that you are 'currently working toward' whatever degree you are pursuing. It would also be good to list an expected graduation date, if that is possible.
