Your rabbits may just be shedding their winter coats, especially if the weather is warm (even while it's still winter). Invest in a good brush and go to town! However, if your rabbits continue to lose large quantities of fur that's patchy or doesn't regrow, they could have mange or other diseases. See your vet for more advice.

The rabbit's fur loss may be associated with stress or a change in the weather outside. If you have other pets around your rabbits, then your rabbits might be scared of them. A rabbit's predator, a hawk or coyote, could be near them. Also, contact your veterinarian.

Ensure your rabbit is receiving a good diet. When an animal has a poor diet it can cause all kinds of problems. You should make sure it is getting as much water/food as it needs. Vegetables are best for it now since it needs nutrients. Also make sure that the rabbit is not stressed, and getting the attention it needs.

Shedding is normal, patchy fur loss is not. It may be a sign of a parasite or injury. Always take your animal to the vet if you're not sure.
