My Ohio contract says that the seller will pay all closing costs, is this correct?

If the agent representing you wrote it up that way and the seller signs the contract then it is a legally binding agreement and the seller will be responsible for paying or carrying all of the closing costs on the property once the deal is done.

If that is written into your contract then that is the terms of the sale. If this wasn't mentioned in the paperwork that you and the seller have worked out it is best to re-read the contract and make sure you know the terms.

Whatever your buyers contract tells you is what is going to happen. Everything has to be written down including who pays the closing costs. So if yours says that the seller pays then the seller is going to pay them for you.

When a contract states that the seller will pay closing costs it is assumed the buyer understands that any mortgage company caps those costs at six percent.
