My fingernail keeps detaching, what should I do?

You should see your primary doctor or a dermatologist to investigate the cause of your nail dystrophy. Some causes can be corrected and others cannot.

You didn't indicate which fingernail this is and this info is necessary for treatment. If it's the thumb nail attach it in place with Superglue and trim it as the new nail grows in. Any other nail won't be noticeable and can be left off.
