Yes it is. The PS2 was made to play both video games and DVD movies. Be careful though, playing DVDs will wear out the laser sensors faster than games.

Playstation 2 can play DVDs just like any DVD player. Just simply insert your DVD into the PS2 disc drive like any other disc. Make sure that your DVD matches the region on the PS2 or else it will not play, and be aware of any parental control settings that have been enabled on the system.

Yes you can. Playstaion 2's are capable or playing dvd movies. They even sell remote controls similar to what you would find on a actual dvd player but you can use the normal control to navigate menus without a problem..

yes it is very possible as long as the dvd is not way old from the time when they had regions to be avaible to play them, and even then you still have hope, just go mess around with the speed settings and try again, if not mess with the browser setting take note to return to your setting.

Yes, it's quite possible to play DVDs on a PS2. Once you insert the disc it should read it, and you'll use the game controller as your remote. However, if you have an actual DVD player, it's best to use that, as running DVDs on a PS2 can cause problems with the laser, and reading games.
