To determine if the weed killer for the lawn is harmful to trees and bushes, read the labels on the weed killer. If you still cannot determine if it is harmful, research online or go to your local garden center and ask someone that knows about weed killer. Also, you can call your local county extension agent for information.

Weed Killer, such as Roundup or similiar product, kills by going through foilage. It is a chemical and will be harmful. Take care around the tree trunk or bush. Rinse the leaves if you get it on them. Herbecides may be a better choice if you have pets and children.
