Is wearing white slacks to a wedding considered appropriate?

If it's outdoors in the summer, it should be acceptable as long as you pair it with a top that has some color. You could maybe choose a top that has pastels in it or add a pop of color with a great shoes or purse. As long as you aren't fully in white, it will be fine.

While wearing an all-white ensemble to a wedding would be considered rude, white slacks are perfectly acceptable for a summer wedding, provided it is not a black-tie event.

Unless you are in the wedding party, slacks seem to be very popular at weddings and even funerals anymore. You hadly see women in dresses at any social events. In the summer, wearing a dress plus a slip and probably panty hose would be really hot. Get a nice blouse to go with your slacks and you're ready!
