There was, but not now. It had face of former president of IS - William McKinley. The highest denomination that was in circulation was $100,000. Though these high denomination dollars were issued during 1928-29 period, US government discontinued all these high value dollar bills. Now, highest denomination dollar bill is $100 only.

Currently, there may be $500 bills in circulation in the United States but the largest denomination currently printed is the $100 bill. The Treasury Department stopped distributing $500 bills and larger denominations in 1969, but any in circulation are legal tender. Treasury will destroy any that they find.
