The $1,000 notes were used in the United States. Those were printed in1928. The $1000 were issued after the gold standard was repealed and gold was compulsorily purchased by presidential order of Franklin Roosevelt on March 9, 1933. $1000 has the portrait of president Grover Cleveland the twenty-fourth president. The $1,000s were printed until 1946 before they were discontinued.
