This is depending on what kind of old paper currency you have found in you grandparent's things. Nobody can answer you this question if you don't tell what you have found. It could be everything - from worthless to something that is nowadays very, very, very rare and therefore expensive

It depends on exactly how old it is. If its just a 2 dollar bill- 2 dollars. Check if an antique appraiser is coming by your area and ask them.

The worth of old money is based on it's rareness and it's condition. It is impossible to give a fair value on any type of money without inspecting it first. The only true value the money you found has is it's face value, but it can be worth more.

Like many collectibles, some paper money is very valuable and some is not worth anything. You should take your paper money to an expert and get an appraisal, especially if you are planning on selling it. That way, you will have a better idea as to how much you should charge for it.
