Many different companies manufacture products that are compatable with a set of standards set by the IEEE known as 802.11g. They vary in speed, port configuration, antenna configuration, and feature set. Each is supposed to conform to a set of standards that allow interoperability.

There exist multiple brands of wireless G Routers but the "G" in "G Router" is specific to the type of communication the router sends and receives.
