Propane has more BTU content than Natural gas. Propane contains approx 2,490 BTU per cubic foot where as Natural gas contains 1,030 BTU per cubic foot

1 cubic foot of propane contains 2,516 BTU and 1 cubic foot of natural gas contains 1,030 BTU. Propane has a lot higher of a BTU content than natural gas.
