The only way not to get charged is to have an all-inclusive cell phone plan. If you have a computer handy, some carriers will allow you to send to a phone number as an e-mail address to send a text. Check the carrier web site for details.

no there are no way to not get charged for cell phone texting beacuse every company charges some or other charges so no way!!

The best solution would be to consult the owners/operating manual which came with your telephone.
