Find out how money issues were dealt with in your families of origin and compare one to another. Where the traditions are different take extra care.

Money can be a huge issue in a relationship. You may want to consider separate checking accounts with a pre-determined agreement on who pays what. Or you might want to talk about having strict savings plans outlined, but make a section where you save for fun things or frivolous things that you both can share.

Money problems are some of the hardest things to deal with in a relationship. It's something you have to work through together. You cannot go it alone and you need to be committed to one another. Just try the best you can to work through these issues and things will work out just fine. It will get better.
