Most texturizers are meant to add body and texture to your hair. You can sometimes find some that also work for straightening but it's rare because texturizers are usually meant to givey your hair waves or curls. If you want a straightening product, look for a straigtening serum, not a texturizer.

No, a texturizer's purpose is to do just that, create some sort of 'texture' for your hair. You could purchase a relaxer, that is the way to straighten your hair chemically. They essentially require the same process in which you put the chemical in your hair, wait an allotted time, and rinse.

My hair is texturized for two years now, and yes it can be used to straightened hair. I have very course hair and applied texturizer to soften it. I combed it through and by the second application which was around 5 weeks later, my hair was straight.

It's very rare. Texturizers mainly loosen the curl. It depends on how curly your hair is. If it is less curly and left for longer, then it will be straighter. But if your hair is naturally very curly, it will loosen the curls, but not completely straighten it. Use a relaxer as an alternative to completely straighten it.

If you want to straighten your own hair you can buy a regular perm and put it on your hair without the rollers and just comb it through your hair. You dont leave it on as long as a regular perm maybe 10 or 15 mins less and continue to comb it through your hair.

While there are no texturizers that will also straighten hair specifically, a texturizer is a relaxant of the hair. When it is applied for the right duration, it will be able to keep its' curl and be altered. If left in for long enough, it will straighten your hair.

No not really. Texturizer is used to had texture to hair, so it will not really help you straighten your hair. You could try adding in the texturizer and then straightening your hair. That might work. But no there is not a texturizer on the market currently that will also straighten hair.

Texturizers are used to relax the hair. If your hair is curly then a texturizer will be able to loosen the curls, but not completely straighten it.

If you use a product before you blow dry that assist in straightening your hair, it might give you some texture. However, after your hair is already dry, any finishing product you use is not going to straighten your hair if it is already dry and wavy/curly.
