Obesity worsens asthma condition by causing chronic inflammation in the body and places a person at risk for Gastroesophageal reflex disease , sleep apnea and even pulmonary hypertention.

In some cases there might be a coincidence of someone having asthma and being obese. It is true that some people who are obese have difficulty breathing but thats through organs like the stomach expanding and putting strain on the heart and therefore taking away space that the lungs need to expand.
