Is there a difference between catsup and ketchup?

There is a difference. Catsup is usually made with much higher quality tomatoes. Other than that they are basically made the same. However sometime catsup can be spicier then ketchup.

They are both condiments and both are made with tomatoes, onions, cinnamon and salt. Both are sweet and tangy, while catsup alone can be tangy at times. Most of the world uses ketchup, while catsup and ketchup are both in North America.

Catsup and Ketchup words all are commonly used to describe the tomato-based condiment. So,there is no difference between Catsup and Ketchup. The words can apply to sauce from the juices of mushroom, tomatoes,walnuts and qualified with main ingredients of tomato ketchup
