Is the typical gingerbread house Victorian?

Most gingerbread houses are Victorian in style. However, one can build a number of types of houses. Personally, I have seen everything from igloos, to trailers, to log cabins built out of gingerbread. Perhaps my favorite, though, was a set of three gingerbread houses representing the Three Little Pigs' houses out of straw, sticks, and bricks.

As a skilled baker I've made a fair share of ginger bread houses and simply detest pre-made gingerbread house kits to create a ginger bread house the sky is the limit you may choose to build any style of gingerbread house you are not limited to Victorian era housing, try a cottage or castle keep for some variety.
