Is the SHure SM58 as durable as the ads claim?

A review online by a consumer said he dropped it off of the counter and the unit still performed properly. He was very happy with his purchase and has had his unit for over a year with not one problem. Other website show this as a 4 or 5 star product with great reviews.

Absolutely. The SM58 is the classic vocal mic which has been the weapon of choice for touring vocalists for may years now. You don't get to be that popular if you're not reliable!

Shure SM58's from 30 years ago are certainly as durable as the ads claim. I have one from 1980 that's still getting knocked around.
