Is "Saleen" a model of Mustang?

Saleen is an aftermarket performance company that deals almost strictly with Mustangs. They take stock Mustangs and add their own kits to them. These kits can be just body panels or a complete overhaul of the car, i.e. body, engine, brakes, and suspension. I know that they also make kits for the Ford Lightning.

It is not a factory produced model of Mustang. Steve Saleen began modifying normal mustangs back in 1984 and continues t this day. Saleens are a modified version of a factory Mustang. Similar to Henessey Vipers they receive upgraded engine, suspension, and bodywork. You take you new mustang to them and they convert it or you buy a pre-built one.
