He founded the line of Newman's Own food in the 1980s. They are tasty, but more importantly he (and now the foundation) donates the proceeds to charity. It goes to buying food for people who needs assistance buying food.
I personally would not know if it is any good, but I would think that you could go on and do a search and there should be a place where people have left comments on whether or not they liked it or not.
