Hard sales figures are very difficult to come by and are to a certain degree proprietary. However, Maybelline is often, if not always cited, as the world's best consumer reviewed cosmetic. One could assume, based on this statement, that their mascara is one of the top sellers in the world.

Maybelline mascara is a truly popular brand. It's only competitors are Covergirl and Avon. Statistics show that it is purchased more than the other two brands which come close to acheiving the same sales. While it is a good cosmetic,I rather prefer the foundation or powder compacts. Mascara tends to clump no matter what brand you choose.

Overall Maybelline is the World's top-selling brand and Maybelline mascara is the best selling cosmetic in America and the world. The classic pink and green "great lash" mascara outsells the competition by a huge margin. It has also won numerous awards since its inception in 1971.

Maybelline as a brand is very well known for making very good quality make up however I do not think Maybelline mascara is the best-selling cosmetic in the world. I have read reviews where customers were complaining about one of the Maybelline mascara as being very strong for eye lashes.
