Some studies recommend this because it is thought that this hardhip calls on all the body's reserves and prepares the cells better to concentrate on fighting off any harmful substances, including toxicnchemicals and cancer. It should only be done with medical supervision, though, because some patients may be too weakened by the cancer or previous chemo.

No a fast before receiving chemo is not recommended. Eating a light meal or frequent small meals is better for the patient. The chemo patient need the nutrients to help fight off the cancer.

It is not recommended to fast for 48 hours, as you would become too weak. Chemotherapy takes a lot out of a person physically.

No. Chemo, depending on what kind can make you nauseated and if you're going to be sick the day after, you're going to need nutients beforehand.

No it is not recommended. If you can eat while taking chemo that is good. You need to eat foods that is good for you.

I am not sure if that is required. But it would make sense because chemo therapy does make you sick.
