Is it okay to use used baby gear?

It all depends on the baby gear you are using. If you were to get a used stroller, swing or high chair, that would be OK. Just check to make sure nothing is broken and all the straps are there. But car seats have expiration dates and it is not recommended to use a used car seat.

I think the only gear you shouldn't use that has already been used is a car seat- unless you know for sure it has never been in a car accident.

it all depends on what baby gear is being reused. things like cribs and changing tables are definatly ok to reuse, while things like car seats and strollers you should get checked to make sure they are within proper safety regulations. if theyre only a year or 2 old they should be fine, but definatly make sure they are sturdy.

Most things can be shared. Avoid used car seats though, since you won't know its history. Car seats become ineffective after being in an accident.
