It depends on the policy of the store that you are returning the clothes to. To return items to an online store, You should contact the store and see what their policies are. Some stores will let you send your items back while others have a no return policy. You can also return the items to the physical store.

YOu should always check to see what each stores return policy is before purchasing. You can usually return items, you just have to cover shipping charges.

If you purchase clothing from a well-known, reputable online department store, you should be able to return. Keep your receipt and the original packing. The item should be as you purchased it--new condition. I've always followed those rules and never had a problem. Always check the store's return policy!

Not at all. A lot of places will send a return sticker in the package in case you need to return the item. It's no different than doing it in a store. The only thing is you have to take it to the post office to have it mailed. So it isn't as convenient, but it's not hard.
