Is it hard to get parts for a vintage Volkswagen Beetle?

This probably isn't too difficult to find - try visiting your local auto parts supply company to see if they can order any for you. I know that they still drive these around a lot in Mexico - there are still a lot of parts.

it all depends on what your willing to spend. there are some web sites and companys that specialize in them. other then that it down to the junk yards to search. they are a fun project tho. good luck

Finding vintage VW Beetle parts is not difficult. In addition to several major suppliers, VW specific classified websites and local swap meets offer access to any part of the car.

Depending on exactly which model you are looking at you should be able to locate parts. There were tons of cars produced in it's long production span. There is also a bunch of reproduction parts available. You can always do some searching online beforehand to make sure the model you are interested in has cheap parts available.
