Is it better to save a two-color logo as a .jpg or .ai?

If you plan on hosting the file, a jpg file is a lot more compatible with a variety of computers.

It is always better to save any logo created in a vector format in illustrator to .ai or .eps format for printing. .jpg is a compressed format and will create pixelation when printed or scaled up from the created size. Always save vector formatted graphics to a file type that can be scaled.

I recommend the. jpg as it is more common and much easier to work with in any program. The. jpg is usable with just about any imaging software for any updates and works with all browsers.

That depends on what you plan to do with it. A jpeg is a more compact and usually lower resolution format. This would be used when you are done with editing and you need a small file. The Adobe Illustrator format is good if you want a editable original copy but some people might not be able to view it.

It depends on what it is being used for. An .AI file is an Adobe Illustrator file for use by graphic designers and printers which a jepg or .jpg file is a standard image file then most any computer or imaging device can display.

the ".jpg" format is usually preferable to most other picture formats, partly because it is efficient and keep the file size small with little sacrifice in quality, but mostly because it is a more universal format, which almost any modern software can read. a file is useless if your software can;t read it.

To store your file, it's better to use. ai since it's the native Adobe Illustrator format and might be useful if later you want to edit it. For general use (web, email attachments), save it as JPG.

That choice depends on what your logo looks like and the size you need your file to be. Any logo that has a photograph in it should be saved as a jpg. If you logo has line art then you would not want to save it as jpg.

It honestly doesn't matter how many colors there are. In my opinion. jpg is more known and there are more programs that can open it. On the other hand. ai is also a picture format so either way it will work.
