It can be dangerous because the horse is more prone to clipping and injuring himself. Rebalance the horse through effective riding and groundwork. Lots of transition work too.

A horse cross-firing is more likely uncomfortable than dangerous, it is becst to see your vet who will more than likely refer you to a chiropractor.

Cross firing caused by imbalance in hooves. Balance hooves, reassess movement. Can be dangerous, causing horse to trip, stumble, or fall. Horse may injure himself while moving.

Yes- a horse cross firing when he travels is dangerous. Damage to the opposite leg is quite possible, resulting in lameness. A direct result of poor hoof care/ badly balanced hooves, you need to address the hoof balance with proper trimming. Protective leg wear- such as splint boots will provide temporary protection. But get the hooves fixed please.
