Is Beefeaters (the restaurant) named after the gin?

Or the Queen's guard?

There are several restaurants named "Beefeaters" and "Beef Eaters." It is more likely that the name refers to the guards at the Tower of London, which you'd see in the decor. The menus of tehse places appear to feature a lot of steak, prime rib and other beef, too.

According to the restaurant's website, "Trips to London added rare English art to its décor." In addition, the sign in front of the restaurant has what looks like an English royal crest. These suggest that the name refers to the Queen's guard.
