Question by  chrisp (13)

Is an offset driver a good thing to buy?

I need all the help I can get with my golf game but is it worth the money?

Yes, this would probably help. As a golfer myself, I think you should try to get your swing fixed, as buying clubs to compensate usually isn't a good idea.

I don't believe it is. If you can't hit a normal driver, I would try and use your 3 or 5 wood, or try a different type of shaft.

Yes, they have a larger club face therefor increase the launch speed and give you better distance. Best for those playing larger and longer courses versus those that play on the shorter ones, like a par 3 type course. I have one and love it, I use it on any par 4 or abouve course.

Enhancing your golf game with technology is okay. However, the offset driver is kind of a "gadget" club. If you are troubled with a slice, a hook, or getting the ball in the air, ask your local pro to help you with your swing. That will be the better value.

I would suggest saving your money, or spending it on lessons instead. The club won't matter if your grip, swing, or follow through are not correct.

My answer is no. You should think about using what you have and spending your money on lessons to improve your game that way.
