Question by  Fayevonthaden (20)

Is a youth four-wheeler a lot less expensive than a full-size ATV?

I'm not sure if it's worth it to buy a special size for my 10-year old.

Yes in most cases they are less expensive. It really comes down to make, model and size. Somthing with full electronics and 4 wheel drive will cost more then your average youth bike. It's definitely worth buying a bike your ten year old will be comfortable on rather then have him or her get hurt on a big atv.

I would not say that they are much cheaper. They usually slightly cheaper. It will depend on what brands and models you look at. Eventually they will outgrow them so you may want to buy a cheap used one just wait until they can safely ride a normal one.

A 90cc four-wheeler, brand new, is usually about a thousand dollars cheaper. I would recommend it for a ten yr. old as a rider myself.

It depends on the brand and motor size that you pick. For the most part kids four wheelers tend to run about one third of the price.

The youth four wheeler are usually cheaper but if your child is 10 I think you would be better off buying a full size one since he's only gonna keep growing.

A youth four wheeler is much cheaper, but most of them are battery powered and are rated at about 8 horse power.
