Is a micro-suede couch a good option for a family room?

A micro-suede couch is the worst option for a family with small kids because it will easily stain, rip, and deteriorate under the careless, and messy hands of small kids. It is even difficult for careful grownups to keep micro-suede couches clean so imagine how hard it'd be with small children.

Microsuede is a fairly good option, but because of its low nap and solid colours spots and stains would really show if the kids spilled anything. It's relatively easy to clean, durable, and soft, and won't crack like leather or come apart like fabric.

If you want your couch to stay pristine, it probably isn't a good idea for you to pick a micro-suede couch while you have small children. Micro-suede cannot be cleaned easily since water tends to leave marks. The fabric is very comfortable but anything wet that stains it will basically leave a mark forever.

Micro-suede or microfiber can be tricky to clean because of its suede-like material. I still use soap, water or furniture cleaner on mine but I'm not always able to get all stains out. My husband and I agree we will go with something more easily cleaned, like leather the next time around!
