Is a marble coffee table more trouble than it's worth?

A marble coffee table is real heavy and if you drop a cup on it, the cup will smash to pieces, but they do clean up and look nice.

Yes. Marble can stain really easily and there is a lot of upkeep with marble. Because coffee tables get used so frequently they get kind of beat up so it is probably better to go with something that requires less maintenance.
