Although older pennies are worth some money, in order for it to be worth more than one cent, it has to be pretty old. A 1946 penny is probably not old enough for it to be worth more than one cent. It may be worth more if you save it another 20 to 30 years.

Yes, it can be. If you try to sell your 1946 penny to a dealer, you could get perhaps three or four cents for it. Guides that list values of coins will value a 1946 penny at 10-20 cents.
