Having played his high school football in Pensacola, Florida, Emmit Smith went on to play his college career with the University of Florida Gators from 1987-1989. He was SEC player of the year his last college season. His rookie season was in 1990 as a Dallas Cowboy. He was picked seventeenth in the first round of the draft.
