Locate the handle in the upper right hand corner, click on it with your mouse and holding the button down, drag your text box to the appropriate size. You can pull it out or push it in to get the right dimensions.

If you have the text box in a separate layer, select that layer by clicking on it (right hand bottom panel). Then press Ctrl+T - to transform the text-box. This can be used to move the text-box around. Change the font size if you want to make the text bigger.

Select the appropriate text box layer and then use the transform shortcut "Ctrl +t" then a resize box appears on it. You can resize to the required level.
