Lymphocytes are white blood cells that react when there is an infection present in your body. With lymphoma, lymphocytes divide at a very high rate. Often times, chemotherapy or radiation treatments are administered to regress the lymphoma and therefore lowering the lymphocyte reaction which in return lowers the level of lymphocyte reaction.
