No gimics here the best way is to let nature take its course. First make sure they have a nesting box and that their cage is big enough to accomodate the box. Your birds will need plenty of sunshine and leave them alone for about two weeks to a month.

Giving eggs to a mating pair doesn't act as an 'aphrodisiac'. What it does do is give the female plenty of protein and calcium with which to form eggs. The availability of the nutrition might encourage her to be more receptive, but that's not a given.

No, that is an "old-wives tale" but they will probably like it as food and it has nutrients very beneficial to them.
