If brass is an alloy consisting of approximately 80% copper and 20% zinc by mass, how do you calculate the approximate density of the brass?

First, you find out what is the density of copper and what is the density of zinc. Then, you make an equation: Brass Density = 0.8(copper density) + 0.2(zinc density).

If you know the density of zinc and copper, calculate how much mass they support and taking a determinated volume you can get density of brass.
