I have a quarter horse, a yearling, who is displaying a lot of aggression and biting. What should I do?

Horses may display aggression out of boredom, frustration or fear. Be sure your horse is getting enough exercise. Be patient and gentle, rewarding good behavior with treats such as carrots.

Some horses just don't get along well with others. You should separate him from the other horses. If your horse is a male he will calm down once gelded.

Horses need a leader. Young horses need turn out with an older horse, in order to learn how to properly behave around other horses. The human handlers need to also teach the young horse that they are the leader in the "herd". Control the feet, via specific exercises, and you control the horse.
