I crushed my vertebra about 4 years ago, and I'm wondering is it bad to pop my back now?

Generally any trauma to your back should be avoided including popping your back. If your back pops on its own that is fine but do not force it to pop. If it hurts see your doctor or a chiropractor to work out the kinks.

Generally speaking it's not a great idea to compulsively pop any joints. However, if your back pops as the result of everyday stretching or activity that is perfectly normal. Try incorporating stretching or plyometric exercises into your daily routine, like when you wake up in the morning, and you should avoid the issue entirely.

Generally speaking, you are OK to do that, but you had better be very om my perspective this area is still very gentle and you should pay more attention to this especially when sporting.

The answer to your question is yes. Your back is very sensitive. You should not even think about popping your back at all because this will damage your skeletal system.
